This was a letter I found in a book on statistics.
It was written on the back of a piece of graph paper.
Yo Man,-----------------------------2/26/87
Happy B-Day- I totally forgot it- I can't
figure it out- Im not absent minded or
anything.
Have you seen the movie 'The Fly'? Damn
fuckin' good flick- check it out
(Notice the case the tape I'v enclosed is in-) <- real weird sentence
yes the original 'B'-tape case- I resurrected
it the other night- major surgery- its
good tape- old case- not bad- just deep-
ya know?
I think of that concert often- I'm
still quite amazed @ how great everything
was/ you need to listen to slow dance
@ the end- you faded it out on your
tape- really good pluckin'
Did you see any of the slam contest? M.J.
is a fucking airplane.
CURSED by the gods again- 5 days
before we go to see the sixers hawks
game (23rd) Julius breaks his finger.
We had an intramural game tonight (52-24
5-0 but we won't last in the finals) there
was an abundance of fine babes watching
the frat teams- tons of foxes in skin
tight nylon suits (slacks)- pure heaven.
Arobics (or os it aerobics or is it air obe icks)
is a damn good thing
---------------are ya gonna do a little yo in'
All music I see or hear is now insignificant.
Tim & I will be watching something or rappin
& he'll go this is great and I'll just look
@ him and say 'yeah but remember the
incredible religious journey we embarked on'
--------------------------------------^
--------------------------------------yes- think about that word

I've oft pondered that note on many a rainy science day.
ReplyDeleteIt's my favorite note, ever. I should frame it. My made-up story about it was that it was written by a student in class and tucked inside the book and forgotten about, so it was never sent to the recipient. I loved the mention of "The Fly" though. It's like a letter that someone in a movie about the '80s would write, but the letter really was written in the '80s which sort of blows my mind.
